Before you begin an amazing 2016 with energy and vitality. We need to do a little planning. Instead of a resolution, I wrote down 6 words that I want to be in 2016.
Brave, Confident, Strong, Vitality, Mindful, Loving. These are my instentions among others, but this is what I will strive for. (healthy and wealthy is a given :-))
To help you get started for a healthy 2016, I've gone back to basics, with some simple steps. Focus on one thing that will improve your health, keep it simple, break it down.
Step 1. Breathe and relax
Purposefully rest and relax. Self care is the best thing you can do for your health. Stress plays a huge part in our health, lifestyle and motivation effecting fat stores and our health eventually catching up with you causing illness. Hard to focus on health when stressed out. Step 2. Sleep more Sleep plays a major role in our health and our bodies ability to rejuvenate and rebuild. You need to get 7-8 hours sleep a night. Step 3. Eat Fresh Keep it simple, your body needs fuel. Planning is key and fresh foods have no labels, no calorie counting required. Stay away from processed, sugary foods. Eat fresh, clean and your body will do the rest.
Step 4 - Drink more water
Drinking more water is the easiest thing you can do to feel good and improve your health. Not enough water means tired, foggy brain, poor body function. 2-3 litres is the goal, but start off small and build up to it, it's not easy for some. Step 5 - Keep moving Don't underestimate the benefits of walking, its the easiest to do and anyone can do it. Exercise can overwhelm and create high expectations that leave us doing nothing. Being outside has mental health and fitness benefits too, go on get out there.
So thing about what you want to be, how you would like to feel, and work towards it. Keep it simple, then repeat, repeat, repeat. If your not sure how to start contact me for a chat.
